Project Name: Echo Lake Cabin
Location: Georgetown, MT
Sq. Ft.: 5,178
Year Designed: 2013
Site: Located in a Montana recreational paradise on the shores of Echo Lake, this site is perfect for a secluded home.
Project: The owners requested a getaway cabin to provide a place of tranquility and escape for their large family. They were seeking a design that would blend with the scenic environment but also be able to accommodate all their needs.
Design: The overall design mimics the topography of Echo Lakes shoreline, with the house’s bend complimenting the peninsula on which it is situated.
The modest feel from the front view was achieved by incorporating a soft earthy venire of stone and wood to compliment the surrounding landscape. The drop in elevation, as well as the landscaped terraces from behind, allow one to realize the true grandeur of this six bedroom home. The walk out basement, built in fire place and inside/outside deck allow the family to enjoy their acres of property in any weather. The NC Design team integrated personal touches of built in lockers in the basement, cutting edge technology throughout the home and an outdoor “toy” storage. The large windows, vaulted ceilings and multitude of decks allow for amble natural light and the connection with the outdoors the owners were seeking.
